Dr. Aggarwal joined SoNE HEALTH in January 2021 as the Chief Population Health Officer (CPHO). In her role as CPHO, Dr. Aggarwal will lead and drive the population health efforts and programs, clinical and continuum integration, physician performance improvement and education, and SoNE HEALTH’s overall strategic direction toward clinical and regional integration and superior value-based performance.
Dr. Aggarwal is a board-certified internist with extensive strategic and operational leadership experience in multiple and diverse institutions, including provider, payor, and for-profit consulting organizations. She offers extensive expertise in the technology, infrastructure supports, and culture necessary for success in risk-based reimbursement models.
Prior to joining SoNE HEALTH Dr. Aggarwal served as Chief Medical Officer for Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization (BIDCO), an ACO in Massachusetts where she provided oversight, expertise, and leadership to ensure BIDCO delivered high-quality health care services and innovative medical management programs including care models for the Medicare shared savings, Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicaid risk contracts.
Previously she served as SVP, Population Health and Chief Medical Officer at xG Health Solutions, a subsidiary of Geisinger Health Systems in Pennsylvania, where she led a team of clinicians working with organizations nationally on ambulatory, acute and post-acute clinical care redesign. She also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Fallon Health plan, Massachusetts. Dr. Aggarwal is a practicing primary care physician with over 20 years in private and employed group practice at UMass Memorial.
